  • Prof. Dvorkin chaired a session on component separation/foreground cleaning at the CMB-S4 conference at UCSD (October, 2019). Prof. Dvorkin’s former Harvard undergraduate student Sebastian Wagner-Carena presented our new component separation method in this paper.
  • Prof. Dvorkin was an external examiner of the Ph.D. thesis of Anirban Roy, working at SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati, Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Carlo Baccigalupi and Prof. David Spergel (September, 2019). His thesis was based on Prof. Dvorkin’s papers on patchy reionization: “Reconstructing Patchy Reionization from the Cosmic Microwave Background” and “B-mode CMB Polarization from Patchy Screening during Reionization”.
  • Prof. Dvorkin was awarded the DOE Early Career award (August, 2019).
  • Prof. Dvorkin gave a series of lectures on CMB Theory at the ICTP School on Observational Cosmology (July, 2019).
  • Prof. Dvorkin was elected the Vice Chair of the next Gordon Research Conference “String Theory and Cosmology”, to be held in 2021, and Chair of the meeting to be held in 2023 (June, 2019).

  • Lucia Gordon (undergraduate student) was awarded the Harvard PRISE undergraduate research fellowship to work in Dvorkin’s group during the summer of 2019 (March, 2019).
